Our Approach
Practicing natural farming and Light Farming on the green chlorite schist soils of Tokushima
We build on the philosophy of Masanobu Fukuoka's natural farming, while incorporating the latest soil science insights such as Dr. Christine Jones's Light Farming.
Rather than aiming for perfection, we iterate through observation and experiment, searching for methods that suit this land. We also use AI-powered image recognition and weather data analysis as tools for understanding nature.
Because AI helps us, humans can spend time in dialogue with nature.
Olives, artichokes, soybeans, leafy vegetables — we intercrop diverse plants while advancing soil regeneration. Soybeans fix nitrogen; leafy vegetables supply vitamins and minerals. Rather than maximizing calories alone, intercropping simultaneously satisfies human nutrition and soil health. It is the only answer for an era when fertilizer does not come.
